Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that can cause several symptoms in any organ present in the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, and stomach, as well as small and large intestines. This disease causes an imbalance in the coordination of muscular wave contraction that normally moves stool through the intestines. It is twice as common in women than in men and often affects young adults. The symptoms include abdominal discomfort anywhere in the colon, nausea, rumbling and gurgling noise formation, the presence of gas, or the feeling of incomplete bowel movement.
